Great quiet,peaceful location.short stroll to riverside and marina and a few minutes further to lovely beach.House is lovely with many homely touches.warm,comfortable and with everything you may need.lots of pubs,restaurants and takeaways close by.We stay at several properties during the year and this is up there with the best - home from home!
Our stay was excellent, great communications before meant arrival was a doddle. Everything was just right! The house was cozy and felt like home from home!

Take that as a compliment. We booked a family house in a quiet street, with parking. That's what we got. It was clean and well looked-after. All the things you'd expect to find were there. The telly worked (with netflix). The Wifi worked, etc, etc, No dramas at all. We had hardly any interaction with the owner, but she was very helpful, and was also flexible about our arrival time, which helped us to fit everything in with our travel arrangements. While you're there, check out the National glass centre at the end of the road. You can walk there. We managed to catch a demonstration of glass-blowing. Great stuff. Very interesting.

Felt homely as soon as we walked in. Our two girls settled immediately & loved the Harry Potter cupboard. Would love to stay again.

I was very impressed with this house. It was beautifully furnished and really cosy and comfortable. I really did feel as if i was in my own home. The kitchen was really well equiped with good quality pans etc. This was important for me as having family and friends in Sunderland i wanted to entertain them all together instead of everyone inviting me to their homes. The house is ideally situated. Easy access into the centre and near the marina so walking to the beach was no problem especially as the illuminations were on at the time and traffic was quite heavy. About 5 minutes walk to the National Glass Centre for afternoon tea and cake. Really did feel as though i was on holiday and not just a trip to Sunderland to see family. Will certainly rent this house again.
This is a lovely house to stay in - it is clean, well-equipped and beautifully decorated with plenty of space for a family. It was easy to find with Pam's directions, and had good parking. It is situated in a quiet neighbourhood and is within walking distance to the National Glass Centre, the Marina and beautiful Roker Beach. The wifi, TV and all appliances in the kitchen were modern and in good working order. Pam was friendly, with prompt communication and clear instructions on how to use the amenities. We would definitely stay here again!

Très jolie maison avec tout le nécessaire pour passer un agréable séjour tout était parfait Merci à notre hôte qui à beaucoup de goût pour la décoration de sa maison on se sent chez soi c est à la fois spacieux fonctionnel et très cosy aussi ... Sunderland est en endroit très sympa avec de belles ballades sur la plage qui est vraiment à proximité Très enchanté par cette lovely house Merci beaucoup
We stayed in this house for a weekend as I was taking part in the Great North Run.
House was immaculately clean and felt very homely.
We only stayed a few days, but everything you would need for longer was in the house.
Location was perfect, close to the marina and beaches if you fancy a nice walk.
Lots of nice restaurants close by and some good recommendations from the owner on the blog.
Really impressed with the service from the owners and wish them well in their new venture.
Would recommend as a great base for exploring the area. We will definitely stay again next year. :)
don't hesitate to book this property It is so very nice and very comfortable to stay in it has a well stocked kitchen and it has everything you could possibly need for a trouble free stay/holiday everything we needed was on hand/provided in this lovely clean home we had a very relaxing stay here it has super lounge and conservatory/ beds very comfortable to sleep in and there is a nice garden to sit in on a warm day /night I would recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in this area also its very central and easy to get to near by places we visited the seaside near by in Sunderland had an Italian hand made ice cream in Whitley bay promenade [delaval ices] well worth visit and we went shopping in Newcastle -- fantastic-- we had a fully enjoyable few days cant wait to come back
Excellent house in very good location minutes from the Marina and Roker beach. Nice walk by the river to the town takes about 15 minutes. The house is very well equipped and very comfortable. Recommended.

The place where we stayed was great! A big house, well equipped, clean and very spacious! The host welcomed us traditionally - with a cup of tea and it was very easy to understand each other. We're very pleased and give the highest mark for this property and service.
